The Carolyn & Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research Expo 2013 - Award Information

The 7th Annual Carolyn & Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research Expo
Thursday, March 21, 2013
Elliott University Center
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

OUR will award a total of $5,250 for the most outstanding undergraduate research/creative scholarship work.

These projects, in each of the following divisions will be awarded $1,000, $500 and $250.

  • Humanities
  • Behavioral, economic, educational, and social sciences
  • Life, mathematical, and physical sciences

Requirements

Only those students that have completed exceptional work should apply.

In order for a student to be eligible for the award, the student(s):

  1. Must present their work at The Carolyn & Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research Expo
  2. Must have their faculty mentor to complete and submit nomination form by March 8, 2013

There is a section on the registration form for students to indicate whether they should be considered for the award. If they indicate they should be considered, OUR will send the faculty mentor the nomination form to complete and submit by March 8, 2013.

Please note that a pair of students (or a group) may submit their work for consideration, but if their work is selected, they will split the $1,000 award between them (i.e., if two students contributed to the winning project each student will receive $500).
